Benoy K Behl is an eminent art-historian, filmmaker and photographer, who is known for his pioneering work in documenting Asian art and cultural heritage. He has made 26 documentaries on THE PAINTINGS OF INDIA and 26 documentaries on THE SCULPTURES OF INDIA. Behl’s exhibitions have been warmly received in 24 countries around the world and are, in fact, on permanent display in many countries. He is invited to lecture at universities and museums around the world, where experts feel that his work has provided fresh insights and depth to the study of Indian art.
The film on 'Cosmopolitan India in Ancient / Medieval Times' portrays the most wonderful facts about India in an artistic manner. The film is in two parts of about 25 minutes each. The film screening will open many doors for new and better understanding of India. The film screening will be preceded by few introductory words by the director followed by Q&A session in the embassy.
